It's crazy working at the mall! I have been doing the Starbucks thing for almost 7 years, but a mall brings its own set of challenges. I love my new store and my partners. It is really different being in a market where we are the ONLY STARBUCKS! I am used to running one of the 10 in town. Our nearest Company owned store is 2o minutes+ away. Each day I get to explain to people what the difference is between a mocha, a cappuccino and a latte. (And that a mochalatte is not a drink!) Most people who come to the store are first time Starbucks customers! What a change from Olympia where Starbucks rules the coffee market! My new store opened on November 18th, and has been busy ever since! We are on the first floor next to Godiva chocolate, and they opened a Maggie Moo's marble top ice cream kiosk right outside of our doors! Talk about temptation! I am looking forward to taking a break from all of the hustle and bustle when we fly home to Seattle for Christmas. This year will be the first Christmas eve in 7 years that I haven't worked! We are going to get together and sing carols as a family and have a good time. Jen
