Our first official FHE
Tonight, we had our first official Family Home Evening with the boys. We talked about the sacrament, and how we can remember Jesus. We said an opening prayer, sang I am a Child of God, and then Craig read the boys a book that I wrote about the importance of taking the sacrament, prophets and remembering Jesus. I am hoping that Jarom will learn to recognize Jesus as often as he does Obama. Yesterday, we had a combined priesthood and relief society meeting. The bishop spoke to us about finding comfort during times of uncertainty. He related a story from Elder Ballard about a missionary who was struggling with his testimony. The question Elder Ballard asked was are you devoting equal time to the Lord as well as other things you are persuing. I have decided to spend less time with FOX news, and more time doing other things as a result. Wish me luck! It will be hard to cut back, because I am a news junkie!

The boys are doing well now. While I was out at training for my new job with Shire Pharmaceuticals in Philadelphia for 2 weeks, the boys got really sick with the flu, pneumonia, heads lifting off necks and spinning, explosive defecations, leprosy, and the bubonic plague. Obviously I am being silly here, now I can be, but it was quite concerning at the time. Quentin was hospitalized for dehydration for 3 or 4 days. Isaac and Jarom both made visits to the ER and Jen also got very sick. If it had not been for Nana and Grandma Campbell (who flew from South Carolina to help out) our story may have been quite different. So on behalf of the boys, I give a heart felt thank you to Grandma Campbell, Nana, Aunt Katie, and Grandma Kohler for all their help. Jen and I appreciate you all in so many ways. Thank you.

Some quick updates on the boys.... Quentin gets to try going without his feeding tube for the next month. He is almost 19lbs now, and has really improved the amount he is eating every day. He has been walking more on his own now. It amazes me how he keeps trying and getting up every time he falls down. He is a great example to me. Isaac is such a kind sweet boy. He loves to give hugs. He has been trying to talk more and babbles whenever he sees writing like he is trying to read it. He loves his tupperware ball with the yellow shaped blocks. He is really patient and can sit and put all of the shapes in without help from mom or dad. Jarom is a little chatter box. This week he has added several new words to his vocabulary; Obama, up, down, computer, more and amen. I am constantly amazed at how quickly he learns new things and how quickly he repeats things... it makes me glad that I don't swear!
